		<description>Basically, the permissions are handled by a built in User and Group management tool. You can&#039;t do Windows permissions really since this is a Linux based file system that is simply running Samba to make itself accessible to Windows users.

It doesn&#039;t offer the option to authenticate against AD either. Of course, for less than $400 for a NAS, what do you expect? This unit is perfect for home and small office use where user security won&#039;t be of much concern.</description>
