Subtle Rantings

This right here is the reason so many communities are passing Maximum Persons laws for residential housing. It’s ridiculous that the ACLU and other legal giants believe that Maximum Residency Laws are racist. They are claiming that these laws target Hispanics. Actually Mr. Big-Shot-Liberal-Lawyer, they target any person that believes it’s OK to house more than 15 people in a house when only 2 or 3 are actually tenants. The law doesn’t care if the extra “tenants” are black, white, Hispanic, Asian or Australian. Now, if statistically speaking the majority of violations are committed by Hispanic’s, then so be it. But is the law TARGETING Hispanics? No.

Just like the majority of violent crimes are committed by black males between the ages of 16-24. Are those statistics racist? Were the laws created such that only black males would be arrested and convicted? No! The laws are blind. Which reminds me I need to tell everyone to check out this posting by a good friend of mine: The Katrina Effect on Dispersal of Errant Behavior. His writing and thinking is brilliant in this article and does an amazing job of explaining this topic. It also backs up why cops should be allowed to practice a certain amount of racial profiling. However, that’s a topic for another day.
